Doorways: Coming or Going?​

Exiting, entering, departing, arriving, or lingering near...where will the doorway lead you? Is it a gateway, a boundary, or a transition point? Is it a threshold for respite? Does it welcome you in, or shut you out? This theme allows you to create art with the focal point of a doorway. We welcome submissions approaching doorways from any viewpoint.

Eligible work:

Artists may submit up to 3 works for consideration for both the in-gallery exhibit and virtual gallery of works on our website. All submissions within our guidelines will be considered. All styles and aesthetics are accepted, from traditional to contemporary. McCord Gallery selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry and originality as represented in the images submitted.

• We accept only original works, created by the artist/entrant.

• Artworks must be of original design completed after January 1, 2021.

The McCord Gallery & Cultural Center is a non-profit art gallery open to everyone; as such, the content of submissions should be appropriate for all viewers.
