Darlene Zdanowski

Flute, Piccolo, Piano, & Oboe

Darlene has played flute for most of her life. She has a degree in music from DePaul University where she studied music theory and enjoyed improvisation. In addition, Darlene plays the piccolo, piano, and oboe. She is currently the flutist for the contemporary group at Our Lady of the Woods Church and also plays for weddings and other special occasions. Although she typically uses the Rubank Flute Method book and school band books, her teaching style is flexible. Darlene has had experience working with students at all levels. Not only will her students learn flute, they will gain knowledge of musical phrasing, interpretation, and theory.
