Interested in Exhibiting?
The Gallery Committee accepts proposals for curated shows year-round and selects exhibits based on work proposed and schedule availability. Keep in mind we have group shows, and very few solo shows.
If you would like to propose an exhibition, please send the following materials to McCord:
– Curatorial statement, brief bio, and curriculum vitae from the exhibition curator
– Artist statement, brief bio, curriculum vitae for each participating artist
–15-20 images of proposed works with an artwork list including title, artist name, dimensions, media, and year created for each piece
Send all materials (images should be in JPG format; statements, CVs, bios may be sent as a PDF) to firstname.lastname@example.org, Subject: Exhibition Proposal. You can also send a link to your website as a solo artist.
All artwork must be for sale and available for the entire duration of the show. All work must be the original work of the submitting artist. Work cannot have previously been displayed in McCord Gallery.
Fine art reproductions or giclee prints are not accepted. All work must be properly framed using wire hangers. (Sawtooth hangers are not permitted.) 2D work should be no larger than 35″x 40″ framed and weigh no more than 25 lbs.
We have a very limited number of pedestals. Exhibitions cannot be based solely on 3D work.
3D work should be no larger than H 5’x W16″x D16″. McCord is leaving the media specifications up to you. We are mainly concerned with space and weight.
