EXHIBITION DATES: March 2 - March 28, 2026
We proudly invite artists who have served to submit work that expresses their emotions and reflections as veterans. This exhibit looks to showcase the perspectives that are often unseen and rarely spoken aloud. Through painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, or creative interpretations, works should tell both a story and a testament: to resilience, sacrifice, identity, and the journey of coming home. We hope this exhibit honors the voices of those who served, highlights the experiences shaped by service, and further connects veterans with their communities.

Eligible work: Artists may submit up to 2 works for consideration for the in-gallery exhibit. Due to limited space, the gallery will accept submissions until the maximum number of artworks is met. All submissions within our guidelines will be considered. All styles and aesthetics are accepted, from traditional to contemporary. McCord Gallery selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry and originality as represented in the images submitted.
-
We accept only original works, created by the artist/entrant.
-
Artworks must be of original design completed after January 1, 2023.
Guidelines: All acceptable media are: acrylic, charcoal, collage, colored pencil, encaustic, gouache, graphite, ink, mixed media, oil, pastels, watercolor, photography, and sculptures. No works generated by artificial intelligence (AI) will be accepted. Contact us if your medium is not listed. All artworks must remain on exhibit in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. Entrants must be 18 years or older and living within the United States. All work must be suitably framed with a wire across the back, ready to hang for the show. Non-framed art must have a hanging sleeve and a board with wire to hang the work.

Art Sales: All submissions that are available for sale in the Gallery are subject to our commission rate. The McCord Gallery retains 30% of sales and will not negotiate prices with a potential buyer. All sales are final. Sold works must be displayed for the duration of the exhibit.
